DESCRIPTION

Heating mantle with stirrer for 100ml round bottom flasks

These heating mantle (sometime called isomantle) are normally used to apply heat to glass round bottom flasks, they are used as an alternative to other forms of heated source such as heating baths

Unlike other heating devices, such as hotplates or Bunsen burners, glass round bottom flasks may be placed in direct contact with the heating mantle without increasing the risk of the flask shattering, because the heating element of the mantle is insulated from the container so as to prevent excessive temperature gradients

Stirring & heating functions are independently controlled by 2 separate knobs and feature polyurethane coated aluminum exteriors and a high quality knitted mantle with glass fiber underlay for uniform distribution of heat.
